INFANT CHILD DIED FRIDAY

Herbert, the little seventeen months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Pratt died last Friday night after a short illness. The little one had been improving in health for a few days and the sudden change for the worse and fatal ending was a severe shock to the bereaved parents. The attending physician pronounced it a case of diphtheria and in consequence all precautions were taken to prevent any spread of the disease, disinfectants being freely used and all those having had any part in caring for the patient have been placed under restrictions as to going out or having visitors, and have also been treated with anti toxin as a measure of precaution. No Sunday school was held in any of the churches and the school has been closed until after the holidays, or until all danger of infection has passed.

The burial of the little one took place as soon as possible that same night as a further measure of precaution, which only made the blow the  more severe to the stricken parents to whom the sympathy of the community is freely tendered.
