Mildred Arnold TAMPICO --

 Mildred J. Arnold, 97, formerly of Tampico, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at Prophets Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July22 at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico, with the Rev. Monty Fox, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Tampico, officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established in her memory to the Tampico United Methodist Church and Prophets Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown.

She was born on June 23, 1907 in Tampico, the daughter of Joseph and Louise (Echdahl) Arnold. Survivors include several cousins. She preceded in death by her parents and a twin sister, Marjorie, in 1966. A 1925 graduate of Tampico High School, she worked for many years in the office at Chapin's Tampico Creamery until it closed. She was a member of the church.
