Dr. Robert Weber - Took own Life

Funeral services for Dr. Robert Weber, 64, were held Sunday afternoon at the Yorktown Church of Christ with Roland Florence, pastor, officiating. Familiar hymns were sung by Mrs. Marjorie Mathis and Mrs. P. J. Sprague, accompanied by Mrs. Fred Heuer.

Burial was in the Yorktown cemetery with six Masons, Wallis Hoefler, Lynn Brown, Oscar Munson, Milo Isaacson, Amiel Schultz and Walter Ott, serving as pallbearers.

Robert Weber was born June 12, 1877 at Bochum, Westphalis, Germany. He had been in this country for about 50 years and had made his home in Yorktown for the past 30 years years where he had practiced as a physician and surgeon most of that time.

He was found dead Feb. 15 in his room at the Embassy hotel in Los Angeles, Calif., where he had been staying for several weeks. Death was caused by hanging. The body was accompanied back to Illinois by his friend Clyde Bunker, who also was wintering in California.
