MRS. W.C. STILSON DEAD

Dies at Her Home In Morrison After Suffering From an Acute Attack of Pneumonia

Mrs. Lizzie STILSON, wife of county clerk W.C. STILSON both of whom formerly resided here with their family, died last week Saturday morning at 7:45 o'clock in Morrison where they have made their home since Mr. STILSON assumed the duties of county clerk last December. She has been an invalid for a number of years and her health was not sufficient to withstand severe attack of pneumonia followed by an abcess in the side.

The remains were brought here Tuesday and the funeral services were held the same afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Methodist church. Rev. J.G. ARMSTRONG officiating, assisted by Rev. C.G. WRIGHT. Morning Star Chapter, O.E.S. attended the services in a body and performed the last rites at the grave. The casket was almost buried beneath the many floral offerings of the many sympathetic friends. The county officers also attended the services in body. The pall bearers were: H.C. PITNEY, Bert MEREDITH, T.A. CURNOW, P.A. McMILLEN, Fred BREWER and George ISHERWOOD. The church was crowded with a large concourse of friends who gathered to pay their last respects to one they had loved.

Mrs. STILSON was a lovely woman of high Chirstian character. She was prominently identified with the Methodist church here and took an active part and interest in its welfare. She was a true type of a mother and it is in the home circle where the sorrow will be blackest and the grief of the three motherless children, deepest. The heart of the entire community goes out to the family and it is the wish of all that the silver lining of the black cloud may soon appear to the bereaved.

Elizabeth Ann KEWLEY was born in Bureau county near Princeton on xxx xx xxxx xx to Will C. STILSON and to this union five children were born Clarence and Lawrence who died in infancy and Marion, Martha and May who with the stricken husband and father survive.
