Died

BROWN - At the residence of his son, Lee BROWN, in Fairfield, Bureau Co., Ill. Sunday, Feb. 5, 1888, Richard BROWN, aged eighty years.

Mr. BROWN was a native of Vermont, and came here to make a home for himself some thirty years ago, he followed his beloved companion to her last rest about two years since. He leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. He was sick but three days, death resulting from a conjestive chill, and though he was eighty years old, his vigorous mind as clear as ever  til the last. Surrounded by his beloved son and friends that had brightened his declining years, and surrounded with every comfort he sank to rest looking as if the sleep was but a rest from which the touch of love might awaken.
