MRS. EDITH BRAINERD TAKEN BY DEATH

Mrs. Edith M. BRAINERD passed away Monday morning at the Maxey nursing home at the age of 81 years.She had been in ill health for years.

Funeral services were held at the Schmitt Chapel Wednesday afternoon with Richard ROBINSON, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating.

Favorite recordings were played preceding the service.

Burial was in the Tampico Memorial cemetery with Thomas RASMUSSEN of Milledgeville, Jack W. POPE of Sterling, Vernon DENISON, Richard CHAPIN, Arthur DAVIS and . W. SCHMITT serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. BRAINERD, daughter of William and Nettie PARENT, was born at Yorktown, July 16, 1880. She received her education in the Yorktwon schools. She spent her entire life in the Tampico vicinity. She was a member of the Tampico  Methodist church.

Her husband,  Levi BRAINERD, her only daughter, Mrs Clifford (Nettie) ALLEN, her parents, and a brother, Guy PARENT, preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Minnie POPE and Mrs. Joseph E. SCHMITT and one brother, M. H. PARENT, all of Tampico.
