TAMPICO — Ruth Adams, 63, of 408 W. Kimball St., Tampico, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at CGH Medical Center.

Arrangements are being completed by Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.

Ruth E. Adams, 63, of Tampico, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. Cremation rites were accorded. Private memorial services will be held today at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico. Private burial of cremains will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 10, 1943, in Sterling to Frank W. and Geraldine Atkinson Renner. She married Robert Adams. Survivors (and spouses) include her husband, Robert, Tampico; one daughter, Sheri (Gary) Fetro, Tampico; one son, Robert (Dawn) Adams, Geneseo; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Charles E. (Susan) Renner, Tampico; one daughter-in-law, Melanie Hasbrook, Princeton, Ill.; one brother-in-law, Bill Adams, and one sister-in-law, Susan Adams, both of Rock Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth E. Adams, age 63, of 408 W Kimball Street in Tampico, Illinois died Monday, August 14, 2006 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Mrs. Adams was born on August 10, 1943 in Sterling, Illinois the daughter of Frank W. and Geraldine (Atkinson) Renner. She was united in marriage to Robert Adams on December 26, 1958 in Rock Falls, Illinois.

She was employed as the director of the Whiteside County Senior Center for about 15 years retiring in 2004. She owned and operated Sno Fun Products / B & R Sales and Services in Tampico for many years and most recently worked at Sauk Valley Community College and the Prophets Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown as an activity director. She was a member of the Tampico Methodist Church, the Sterling Moose Lodge and the Tampico Legion Auxiliary. She was a certified master gardener through Sauk Valley College and an Illinois licensed phlebotomist.

She is survived by her husband Robert of Tampico, Illinois; one daughter, Sheri (Gary) Fetro of Tampico, Illinois; one son Robert (Dawn) Adams of Geneseo, Illinois; ten grandchildren; one brother Charles E. (Susan) Renner of Tampico, Illinois; one daughter in law Melanie Hasbrook of Princeton, Illinois; one brother in law Bill Adams and one sister in law Susan Adams both of Rock Falls, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Terry Adams, one grandson Thomas Adams and one granddaughter Emily Adams .

Cremation rites were accorded. Private memorial services will be held on Thursday at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. Private burial of cremains will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HER MEMORY TO THE TAMPICO UNITED METHODIST CHURCH AND THE WHITESIDE COUNTY SENIOR CENTER.
