EAST.

Fred East, 78, retired farmer of the McClusky area, died at 9:20 a.m. Mar 26 at Greenwood Manor in Jerseyville. East was born in Jersey County Aug 6, 1904, the son of the late George and Lillie Gier East. He was a dairy farmer for 28 years, retiring in 1955. He married Margaret Best, June 17, 1936 in Hannibal, Mo. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Margaret Ann Coffman of Jerseyville, Martha Jean Parish of Daow and Carol Kaye Ctner of Great Falls, Mont. ; eight grandchildren and three brothers, Clinton of Tampico., Dennis (Dade) , Jerseyville and Caly, Godfrey. He was proceeded in death by two brothers.

Visitation was the Gubser Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Monday, March 28. Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Mar 29 at Gubser's with Rev. Wayne Pendleton of the First Assembly of God Church and Rev. Dale Best officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. The First Assembly of God Church building fund has been named as a memorial.
