Obituary

Mrs. Hannah WELCH was born in Fayette Co., Penn., February 21, 1843; anddied April 7, 1897. Aged 54 years, 1 month and 16 days.

In early childhood her parents moved to Putnam Co., Ill., and from thence to Bureau Co., where she met and married W. L. WELCH. Three children were born to bless thisunion and one of the children has gone on before. In later years they moved to Whiteside County, where they lived until the last two years, during which time she lived in Henry county.

At the age of eighteen she became a member of theChristian church in Bureau Co., but when she moved to Tampico  there was no church of that demoniation so sheunited with the Baptist church. On moving to Yorktown she called for a letter from the Baptist church, to unite with the churchof her choice, but her health failed so fast she could not hand her letter in. She hs been a long and patient sufferer and since the throngs of much suffering has been laid upon her we are today moved with sorrow at her absence; but devoutly bow in submission to the will of Him who does all things well.

May her sleep be peaceful, and at last receive the inheritance of an eternal entrance into the city of the Blest.
