Tampico Tornado

Mrs. Margaret FRANCE of this place died suddenly Saturday morning at 11:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. FRITCH, in Prophetstown, where she was visiting. She had been sick for several months and death was due to heart trouble. Mrs. Margurite FRANCE was born May 1, 1834, in Wood county, Ohio, where her girlhood was spent. In 1850 she married Joseph ADAMS, who died about two years later. One son was born to them: Joseph P. ADAMS, who resides at Minden, Neb. She was later married to Soloman FRANCE and shortly after their marriage they came west and settled in Erie where they resided but a short time, moving to a farm south of Prophetstown. About the close of the Rebellion, in which Mr. FRANCE was a union soldier, they moved to Tampico township where they resided until his death in 1890, when the widow moved to Tampico and made her home with her son Fred.
