Double Rites For Mr. and Mrs. Fritsch

Tampico - Double funeral services for Cecil Joseph Fritsch, 64, and his wife, Mae I. Fritsch, 57, of Tampico were held at Tampico First Methodist Church on Sunday at one o'clock. The Rev. Roger Baumeister of the Tampico Methodist Church and the Rev. Orville Cole, Red Oak EUB Church officiating.

Kenneth Stabler of Tampico sang "Abide With Me" and Mrs. Owen Hurst of Walnut sang "God Be With You Till We Meet Again" accompanied by Mrs. David Hoover at the organ.

The many floral tributes were cared for by Mrs. Virgil Peterson, Mrs. William Tornow, Mrs. Charles Hamblock and the Hillcrest Greenhouse. Interment was in Tampico Memorial Cemetery with Marvin Guither, Alvin Birkey, LaVern Johnson of Walnut, and Frank Thomas, Raymond Musche, Michael Donnelly, of Tampico serving as pallbearers.

Cecil J. Fritsch Dies With Wife In Auto Accident Tampico -- Cecil Joseph Fritsch, 64, was killed Thursday afternoon in Fairfield Township, in an auto accident.

He was born Sept. 23, 1902, in Manlius, the son of Elmer and Anna Fritsch. He was educated in the Manlius school. He had been a resident of Tampico for 23 years. He married Mamie Hollis of Walnut in 1927. He married Mae T. Barth of Decatur, in 1961.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Tampico.

He was a former assessor of Tampico Township, former grocer, and had been semi-retired since 1965. He was substituting as a rural mailcarrier at the time of his death.

He is survived by three sons, Eldon, Rock Falls; Major Billy Fritsch, currently a Marine pilot in Vietnam; Gary, Deer Grove; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Donna) Roth, Belleville; Mrs. Ronald (Hyla) Crag, Rock Falls; one sister, Mrs. Leona Hayden, Tampico; 11 grandchildren and several nieces.

He was preceded by his parents and one brother Harold. Funeral services are pending word from the son in Vietnam.

The Rev. Roger Baumeister of the Methodist Church, Tampico, and the Rev. Orville Cole of the EUB Church, Red Oak, will officiate.

Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Schmitt Chapel after 2 p.m. Saturday.
