Lonnie Chandler

 

            Lonnie R. Chandler, 58, of Prophetstown died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at CGH Medical Center.  He was employed by Tyson Foods/IBP, Joslin, for more than 30 years.

            Mr. Chandler was born May 2, 1948, in Morrison, the son of Lester “Bud” and Dorothy (Diephuis) Chandler.  He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.  He married Nancy Snodgrass on June 23, 1969, in Morrison. 

            Survivors include is wife, a daughter, Becky Chandler, a son, Billy Chandler, a brother, Larry (JoAnn) Frederick and two granddaughters, all of Prophetstown.

            He was preceded in death by his parents.

            Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Prophetstown United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation is from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.  Arrangements were completed by Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Prophetstown.

            A memorial fund has been established.
