ALBERT JOHNSON TAKEN BY DEATH
Farmed For 35 Years In Portland Township
 
Albert Johnson, 64, passed away at 7:30 Wednesday morning in his farm home seven miles southwest of Prophetstown.  He had been ill over a year and seriously ill the past two weeks.  The body will be removed from the Helm and Helm mortuary in Prophetstown to the home Thursday night.  Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday from the late home, with burial in Riverside cemetery at Prophetstown.
 
The deceased was born January 15, 1873 at Union Grove, the son of John and Anna Johnson.  He had always followed the occupation of farming and lived for 5 years on the Chapin farm in Portland township where he died.  In February 1911 he was married to Edith Barradell.
 
Mr. Johnson was a member of the Swedish Lutheran church in Prophetstown where he was confirmed.  He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Jeannette of Bloomington and Barbara at home, two brothers, William and Frank Johnson of Prophetstown and Mrs. Emma Johnson of Morrison.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Josie, and an infant daughter, Beth.
