FUNERAL RITES HELD SATURDAY
Mrs. M. S. Hill Buried In Riverside Cemetery
 
Funeral services for Mrs. Mallory S. Hill, who died Thursday, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the F. L. Dudley funeral chapel in Prophetstown.  There was a large attendance of relatives and friends.  Rev. A. E. Simester of the Methodist church conducted the rites.
 
The profusion of beautiful floral offerings expressed the love, sympathy and esteem of the many relatives and friends.  Mrs. Roy Crook and Mrs. G. W. Nelson assisted with the flowers.  Burial was made in Riverside cemetery at Prophetstown. The pallbearers were six nephews of the deceased. They were:  Cecil Lancaster of Walnut,  Charles Lancaster of Manlius,  George Lancaster of Tampico and Elmer, Clifford and Glenn Lancaster of Prophetstown.
 
Those from a distance who attended the services were:  Morrison: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tripp and daughter, Hester;   Lyndon: Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fassett;   Manlius:  Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lancaster;  Walnut: Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lancaster;   Tampico:  Mr. and Mrs. George Lancaster;  Union Mills, Ind.,:
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown;  Sterling: Mrs. Glenn Kelsey and Mrs. Anna Watson;  Rock Falls: Curtis Lancaster;  Rockford: Howard Lancaster.

MARY ANN (Lancaster) HILL
BELOVED WOMAN IN COMMUNITY DIES THURSDAY 
Mrs. Mallory S. Hill Will Be Buried From Dudley Chapel Saturday
 
Mrs. Mallory S. Hill, 80, beloved Prophetstown woman, died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at her home in Prophetstown.  Mrs. Hill fractured her hip in February, 1936, and had gradually failed since.
 
The body was removed to the F. L. Dudley mortuary.  Funeral services will be held at the Dudley funeral chapel Saturday at 2 p.m.  Rev. A. E. Simester of the Prophetstown Methodist church will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverside cemetery at Prophetstown.
 
Mary Ann Lancaster was born April 26, 1857 in Hume township, and had resided in this community all of her life.  Her parents were Charles and Sarah Hippey Lancaster. She was married to Mallory S. Hill of Prophetstown on March 27, 1878, at Morrison.  They resided on the Hill farmstead, southwest of Prophetstown until they moved to their present home in Prophetstown 25 years ago.

Mrs. Hill was a member of the Prophetstown Methodist church and the Royal Neighbors lodge of this city.  Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harvey C. Hull, one grandson, Mallory Hull, three brothers, Henry Frank and William Lancaster and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Hill, all of Prophetstown. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lancaster.
 
Mrs. Hill was one of Prophetstown's finest women, very devoted to her family and had endeared herself to a large circle of friends.
