Fred Stewart Dies Suddenly While At Work In Prophetstown
 
Prophetstown: - Fred Stewart, 70, a well-known and popular shoe repair man, died suddenly  Wednesday afternoon.
 
The body was taken to the Gardner funeral home.  The funeral will be at the Gardner chapel at 2 p.m. (CST) Saturday.  Rev. C. F. Chasteen of the Methodist church will officiate and burial will be in the Riverside cemetery.
 
He was born oct. 10, 1881, in Hume township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Stewart.  He had lived in Prophetstown vicinity all his life and had been in the shoe shopo 40 years.  He lived alone and never married.
 
Surviving are a brother, Bert, Sterling;  a sister Mrs. Emma Teach, Prophetstown.  Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
