William Pritchard, 74, Passes in Prophetstown
 
Prophetstown:  - William Pritchard, 74, passed away at his home in Prophetstown Monday at 12:30 p.m. following an illness of several months.
 
The body reposes at the Gardner chapel where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m.  The Rev. William Dupree of the Congregational church will officiate.  Committal will be in Riverside cemetery, Prophetstown.
 
Mr. Pritchard was born south of Prophetstown, Jan. 22, 1878, the son of Henry and Eliza Irvine Pritchard.  He attended the Alba township schools.
 
He married Mattie Baker of Annawan in 1901.  They lived one year in Iowa and returned to the Prophetstown area where they farmed two miles southeast until 1918 when they retired to Prophetstown.  He was a member of the Congregational church.
 
Surviving are two sons, Forrest C. and W. Ward, both of Prophetstown and four grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife; five brothers and three sisters.
