Conduct Services For William A. Brown
 
Prophetstown: - Funeral services for William Brown, 75, who passed away Saturday at the Morrison Hospital were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Gardner Chapel.
 
The Rev. William Nicoll of the Prophetstown Methodist Church officiated. Mrs. Leland Bierman was organist.
 
Pallbearers were Perry Egert, Raymond Price, Ralph Dronenberg, Arthur Tiden, Harry Hammond and Albert Roberts.  Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.  Assisting with flowers were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mickley, Mrs. B. M. Frary, Mrs. Eldon Blair and Mrs. C. C. Emery.
 
William Allison Brown was born Dec. 12, 1882 in Yorktown Township, the son of John Wilbur and Mary Ringel Brown.  He moved to this community in 1927.  He was a member of the Prophetstown Congregational Church.  On March 8, 1905 he was married to Minnie Munter of Eldridge, Ia., in Eldridge.  He farmed for several years and then worked at the Eclipse Lawn Mower Co. for 30 years.
 
Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Everette, Wilbur and Kenneth of Prophetstown, Delbert of Tallahasee, Fla., one daughteer, Mrs. Ray Winkler, three brothers, Perle of Prophetstown, Lynn of Hooppole, Vernon of Wyoming, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Everette Smith of Port Byron, Mrs. Will Smith of Moline, also 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents.
