Victor E. Pearson, Prophetstown, Dies
 
Prophetstown: - Victor E. Pearson, 81, 509 3rd St., died at his home at 8 p.m. Thursday following a lingering illness.
 
Mr. Pearson was born at Tampico July 4, 1876, the son of John and Lena Pearson.  He was married to Martha Elizabeth Murray on Nov. 28, 1900 at Tampico. She passed away March 12, 1949.  He married Anna Elizabeth Wood of Sterling June 21, 1952.  He had lived in the Tampico and Prophetstown communities his entire lifetime with the exception of two years spent in Shore Acres, Rock Falls.
 
Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Lena Lucille) Plautz, and Mrs. Ernest (Bernice Marie) Sandrock, both of Prophetstown;  one son Kenneth Pearson, Tampico, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
 
Besides his first wife he was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, William H., Charles O., and J. August Pearson.
 
The body was taken to the Parent Funeral Home in Tampico, where funeral arrangements will be completed.
