Mrs.Grace Johnson, Prophetstown, Dies
 
Prophetstown: - Mrs. Grace Johnson, 80 died Friday evening in Community General Hospital where she had been a patient for the past 37 days.
 
The body was removed to the Gardner Funeral Chapel where friends may call.  Funeral services will be conducted at the chapel Monday at 3 p.m., the Rev. William Nicoll, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
 
Mrs. Johnson was born March 27, 11880, in Portland Township, the daughter of Francis Alba and Isabel F. Transue Maxfield. She was married to William F. Johnson in Prophetstown Sept. 10, 1908.  She was a lifelong resident of the Prophetstown community and a member of the First Methodist Church.
 
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Leota) Bender, Mrs. Paul (Eileen) Detra, both of Prophetstown; four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Sadie Wilkinson, Pekin.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1942;  two sons, Robert in infancy; William, who died in 1944; her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
