Mrs. Ballard Rites Conducted On Friday
 
Prophetstown: - Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Ballard, 103, Whiteside County's oldest resident who passed away Tuesday evening at the Whiteside County Nursing Home were held Friday afternoon in the First Congregational Church of Prophetstown.
 
The Rev. Nelson Chasteen officiated at the services and interment was at the Riverside Cemetery of Prophetstown.
 
Mrs. James Fisk served as the soloist for the services singing the numbers, "Sweet By and By" and "Lead Kindly Light.:  Mrs. Lyle Dingman was at the church organ.  The Gardner Funeral Home officiated for the floral tributes.
 
Serving as pallbearers were::  Elmer Johnson, Howard Burdsall, Clarence Zschetsche, George Sibley, Kenneth Moore and Louis Weburg.
