Mrs. James R. Newlon Funeral Services Will Be Tuesday
 
Prophetstown: - Funeral services for Mrs. James R. Newlon, 75, will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Garnder Chapel. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery.
 
Mrs. Newlon died Friday evening in the Morrison Community Hospital
 
Lillian Edith Jaquet was born Oct. 9, 1885 in Loraine Township the daughter of John and Carrie Papendick Jaquet.  She attended the Oberle School. She was married to James R. Newlon of the Eight Mile community on Jan. 3, 1906. They farmed in the Eight Mile area for 47 years before retiring and moving into Prophetstown to reside.
 
She was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge.
 
Survivors are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Atwell  and Mrs. Dorothy Lenth, both of Geneseo; six sons, LeRoy, Colona; Harry and Harley, both of Prophetstown;  Howard, Hooppole; Walter, East Moline;  Lester, Rock Falls; 20 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph, John and Howard Jaquet and one sister, Inez.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
