OBITUARY

Berniece A. Ackeberg, age 85, of Walnut Manor Nursing Home in Walnut, died Wednesday, Januar

 22, 2003, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, Illinois.

 

Mrs. Ackeberg was born February 24, 1917 in Thomas, Illinois, th daughter of Henry and Clara (Thompson) Rosenow. She was united in marriage to Marvin Ackeberg on and taught Sunday School in the Tampico and Walnut Methodist Churches. She was a member of Good Morning Circle and was past preseindent and secretary of United Methodist Women.

 

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Ackeberg of Walnut, Illinois; four brothers, Vernon (Dorothy) Rosenow of Rock Falls, Illinois; Ivin (Avis) Rosenow of Tampico, Illinois, Jerry (Marge) Rosenow of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Maxine Long of Dixon, Illinois, and Verla Clark of Genseo, Illinois; and numberous neices and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Vivian Rosenow; several nephews and nieces.

 

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut with theRev. Officiating. Burial will be in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. A memorial has been established in her memory to the Walnut Fire Department or the Walnut Methodist Church Education Fund in lieu of flowers.
