GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Mary R. Kitson, 97 formerly of Rock Falls died Sunday November 18, 2007 at St. Mary Rehabilitation Center, Grand Rapids, MI. She was born on December 11, 1910 in Deer Grove, IL the daughter of Michael Francis and Margaret (Trainor) Egan and attended St. Mary Grade School in Sterling. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gilbert "Gib" Gleason, Donald Anderson and Robert Kitson. Mary was a past member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Sterling. Surviving is her son, John F. (Joan) Gleason of Grand Rapids, MI; 6 grandchildren: Dominic Zinanni, Matthew Zinanni, Jim Gleason, Joy Annis, Robert Backode and Michael Backode; 18 great grandchildren; one brother, John "Jack" (Evelyn) Egan of Sterling; one sister, Alice Dempsey of Dixon. She was preceded in death by her husbands; and one daughter Rose Ann Zinanni Backode. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 11AM in St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling with the Reverend Donald Ahles Celebrant officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation is Wednesday from 10 -11 AM at the church. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls.
