Mrs. Mary E. Nuelle, age 86, of 106 E. Kimball Street, Tampico, Illinois, died Friday morning, February 16, 1996 at Coventr Village in Sterling, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 19 at 11 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico, Illinois, with Rev. Linda Hood, pastor of Tampico United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory to the Tampico Library, in lieu of flowers. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4-6 p.m.

Mrs. Nuelle was born December 5, 1909 in Hooppole, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Nellie Fehlman Waite. She was united in marriage to Richar L. Nuelle on November 11, 1934 in Sterling, Illinois. She had been a telephone operator for twelve years for Farmer's Mutual Telephone Company and wa a cook at Tampico High School from 1934 until 1974.

She is survived by her husband, Richard L., of Tampico; three daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Mary Anne) BAtten of Tampico, Illinois, Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) McCracken of Wyanet, Illinois and Mrs. Melvin (Kathy) Johnson of Tampico, Illinois; one sone, James Nuelle of Taylorville, Illinois; thirtheen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Vance Waite of Rock Falls, Illinois; and numberous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded  by her parents, one son, one brother, one sister and one great-grandson.
