Margaret Henrekin

STERLING - Margaret Ann Henrekin, 86, of Sterling, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at her home. She was employed by National Manufacturing, Sterling, as a receptionist before retiring.

Mrs. Henrekin was born Dec. 22, 1920, in Sterling, the daughter of William and Mary Catherine (Casey) Greenway. She married John T. Henrekin on Sept. 6, 1952, in Sterling. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1996. She was a member of St. Mary Church, Sterling.

Survivors include four children, Mary Pat (Ron) Carboni and Tom (Jane) Henrekin, both of Tampico, Barb (Bob) Ruiz, of Sterling, and Tim (Michelle) Henrekin, of Deforest, Wis.; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary McCormick and Annie, in infancy.

Family prayer service is at 10 a.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tampico, with the Rev. Louis Tosto, celebrant, officiating. Burial is at St. Mary Cemetery, Tampico. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., with the rosary recited at 4 p.m., Friday at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls.
