She had been in poor health for the past four years, but during this time she remained cheerful, always believing she would regain her health.

She leaves to mourn her loss her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Albert FORWARD; two sisters: Mrs. Fred GLASSBURN and Mrs. Clare FORWARD; one brother, George A. FORWARD, all of Tampico, Ill.; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Two sisters, Mrs. Mabel DONNELLY and Jessie FORWARD PRECEDED HER IN DEATH, the latter passing away in infancy.

Bessie suffered a great deal during her life, having suffered even in her younger days yet was always patient through it all. She was devoted to her home and home life, taking great interest in the other members of the family, especially the children, doing innumerable things for their comfort and pleasure.

"Her suffering ended with the day,
Yet lived she at its close
And breathed the long \, long night away
In statue-like repose
But when the sun, in all his state
Illumed the eastern skies
She passed through Glory's morning gate
And walked in paradise"
