Miss Nellie Ross Passes Away Tuesday
 
Walnut: - Miss Nellie Ross, 84, passed away at the Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton, Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., where she had been a patient for the past three months.
 
She was born Jan. 27, 1881, in Bureau County, the daughter of George and Sarah Ross.
 
She had taught school in the Walnut grade school for thirty years.  She taught Sunday School in the First Christian Church, of which she was also a member, for fifty years.
 
She is survived by one brother, Frank, Walnut;  three nephews, and one niece.
 
She was preceded by her parents, three brothers, Harvey, Howard, and Ben; one sister, Deborah; one niece and one nephew.
 
Miss Ross attended the Walnut and Ohio Schools and graduated from Walnut High School in 1901.  She then attended Eureka College and Drake University  in Des Moines, Iowa.
 
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Ross Funeral Home in Walnut. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery.

Hold Services For Miss Nellie Ross
 
Walnut: - Funeral services for Miss Nellie Ross of Walnut, who passed away Tuesday morning in the Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton, were held at three o'clock Thursday afternoon, in the Ross Funeral Home in Walnut, with Rev. Donald Whitehead, pastor of the First Christian Church of Walnut, officiating.
 
Mrs. John Foss was organist.
 
Casket attendants were Jeff Livey, Lowell Whitver, Donald Whitver, Lloyd Dixon, Loyal Andersen, Leslie Baumgartner.
 
Interment was in the Walnut cemetery.
