LAWRENCE  TORNOW
Walnut: - Lawrence Tornow, 84 of 202 E. North St., Walnut, died Thursday evening in his home
 
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Allen-Garland Funeral home in Walnut.
The Rev. Gene Gebhart, pastor of the First Christian Church of Walnut, will officiate.  Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery. There is no visitation.  A memorial has been established in his memory.
 
Mr. Tornow was born Dec. 27, 1897 in Walnut, the son of Herman and Minnie (Lange) Tornow. He was united in marriage to the fomer Pearl Vick on Sept. 5, 1931 in Walnut.  He farmed his entire lifetime in the Walnut area and also worked at the Walnut Grain Company for several years.
 
He is survived by his wife, Pearl of Walnut, and three sisters, Mrs. Millie Conley of Rock Falls, Mrs. Orpha Clausen of Mendota and Mrs. Pearl Koepp of Aurora.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
