LETHA (Whipple) CARLSON
Letha Carlson Dies Tuesday
 
Prophetstown: - Letha Mae Carlson, 84, RFD, Prophetstown, died Tuesday morning at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thurday as Schmitt Chapel in Tampico with the Rev. Lawrence Anderson, pastor of the Prophetstown First Lutheran Church, officiating.  Burial will be at Tampico Memorial Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Schmitt Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
 
A memorial has been established for the Prophetstown Lutheran Church.
 
Mrs. Carlson was born April 1, 1892 in Fairfield Township, the daughter of Delos and Rachel Whipple.  She married August Carlson on Sept. 4, 1914 at Princeton and they lived in the Tampico vicinity all their lives.
 
Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Margie at home, one brother, Frank Whipple of Princeton, one sister, Orpha Carlson of Chadwick.  She was preceded by her parents, three brothers and seven sisters.
