DORIS POULTER
 
Prophetstown: - Doris Poulter, 64, rural Prophetstown, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
 
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the United Methodist Church, Prophetstown, with the Rev. Bruce Janes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Gardner Chapel in Prophetstown. A memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church.
 
Doris  Poulter was born Aug. 18, 1922 in Morrison, the daughter of Charles and Mary Palmer Yeager. She was united in marriage to Gene Poulter of Prophetstown on Aug. 25, 1945. She graduated from Morrison High School in 1940 and attended Francis Shimer College in Mt. Carroll. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Sarah Circle of the church, the Minerva Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Prophetstown.
 
Surviving are her husband, Gene; two sons, Steven and Larry, both of Prophetstown; three grandsons, and one sister, Phyllis Yeager, Chicago.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and two brothers.
