ROSEMARY  H. (Flock)  COONEY
 
Rosemary H. Cooney, 59, of 1751 Hoover Rd., Deer Grove, died Friday evening at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
 
Prayer service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tampico with Rev. Lee Ambrey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Tampico. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Garland Funeral Home with a scripture service at 8 p.m.
 
Memorials may be made to the Tampico Rescue Unit and the Walnut Fire Department.
 
Rosemary was born on July 2, 1926 in Sterling, the daughter of Adam and Nel Real Flock. On Feb. 16, 1957 she married John Joe Cooney in Rock Falls.  Mrs. Cooney was employed at Colonial Beauty Shop in Sterling for many years and operated a beauty shop in her home for many years. The deceased was a member of TOPS Club in Sterling, the Deer Grove Ladies Club, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tampico, and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church.
 
Surviving are her husband, John of  Deer Grove; two sons, Tom and Harry both at home;  one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Werland of Rock Falls; one brother, Jack Flock of Sterling; one aunt and several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister.
