Deer Grove: - Leo  Eugene Schauff, 64, 1734 Hoover Road, died Tuesday at his home.
 
Prayer services at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tampico.  .  Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery  in Tampico, will full military rites accorded to the Tampico American Legion Post #574.
 
He was born September 27 1924 in Deer Grove, son of Herbert and Helen Hamblock Schauff. He married Darlene Farwell June 2, 1948 in Tampico.  Mr. Schauff was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 47 years, retiring in 1984.  He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Green River County Club in Walnut, and the National Rural Letter Carriers Association.
 
Survived by his wife, two sons, Dr. Michael Schauff of Lauren, MD., Randall Schauff of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, one daughter, Cindy Schauff of Rock Falls, his father of Peoria, 5 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Roger (Joyce) Anderson of Glastonbury, Connecticut, and Mrs. William (Marilyn) Schaffer of Peoria.
 
He was preceded in death by his mother.
