Prophetstown: - H. Vincent May, 89, formerly of Route 2, died Tuesday at Prophetstown Riverview Good Samaritan Center.
 
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Melvin-Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling. Burial in Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.  Visitation from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
 
He was born September 8, 1899 in Whiteside County, the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Jacobs May. He married Daisy Dwyer, she died July 2, 1970.  Mr. May farmed most of his life in the Prophetstown and rural Sterling area.
 
Survived by three sisters, Charlotte Baughman of Milledgeville, Esther Eichenberg and Ethel May of Sterling, and several nieces and nephews.
