Wanted to post this information about Charles E. Foy, my GG Grandfather, son of George Foy. Thought it might go well with the link http://www.tampicohistoricalsociety.citymax.com/ILUnionVolunteerRegiments.html

Charles served in the Union Army, 34th Illinois Infantry as a private. He was born and married within Whiteside county, Illinois. He is laid to rest in an Oklahoma Veteran Memorial Cemetary.

If anyone is interested, I have a great picture of him and his 4 living children, c1890's.

Regards,
Brian Sanders

Debra,
I have a photo of Charles Foy and his 4 boys on my website, taken around 1890, located at www.sandersfamilia.com, under "restoration". You can select that image and do a "save as". I will have a higher resolution image available online, soon.

The story of this photo is that it was taken shortly after Charles' wife, Adelia Arnold, passed away, while giving birth. Her picture can be seen on the table. Charles Foy is sitting on the right and Edwin Foy (young boy) is to the left. Edwin Foy is my G grandfather who married Jennie Weber. Jennie Weber Foy's photo album is also located on my website.

Regards,
b
