Searching for Elmyra Catherine LaRue's family. She was born 13 May 1863 in Fulton to James C. and Emma Engel LaRue. She married William Horace Hummel 24 Feb 1886 in Luverne, Rock, Minnesota. She died 16 Oct 1919 in Cumberland, Barron, Wisconsin at her daughter's home. I would love to know more about her parents and siblings: Myron, Mamie, Nellie, Mervin and Mabel. They are listed in the 1880 census as living in Fulton.

I am not finding any LaRue's in our immediate area. Most of them were in the Albany & Fulton areas. There was a LaRue family in Erie - a Dr. Robert LaRue and family. Perhaps some of our viewers connect to your line, otherwise, I recommend you contact the Fulton or Albany Genealogical Societies or the Whiteside County Genealogical Society.

Hi Denise. Thank you for posting this. I'm not sure this is my Mervin, because the birthdate I have is Aug 1877. However, that may not be correct. I need to do more digging.

I have contacted the Fulton website. I will have to try again.

Thank you for all you do.

Sheri,
You will find as your research continues, that b/m/d dates will vary considerably from document to document. What is your source for the birth date you have?

Do you have any death dates or obits on the parents or siblings?

Best of luck on your genealogical journey. I am headed for the Sterling Library for more research, so if I run across other info, I will certainly post it here.
