They had three children Harold, Chester and Helen. I am sorry I don't have anything more than what is on the web page on her. However I would be glad to have anything you have and would put it on the web page next time I revise it. As you know I was researching the Lakins. Martin would have been my ggrandfather's nephew. At my ggrandfather's level there were half brothers and sisters involved up there. The information I have came from a half sister descendant, Wayne Eslinger. Wayne was living in Florida and sent me email and telephoned me. He no longer has email address and no longer calls me. I think he may have died in the last year or so. He remembered Martin being in their home when he was a little boy. Martin of course is a main line descendant of the Lakins , not of the half brothers and sisters althought they were close and some moved together to Iowa, etc. A lot of Wayne's information came from the Bureau County Genealogical Society, which he belonged to and I do also. They have quite a bit on the Lakin family and might have information on Dieckmann's. They also do lookups reasonable. Sybil Lakin married Ruben Shilts and I almost bet they were acquaintances of the Dieckmanns. I found Wayne's address. Wayne O. Eslinger, 2836 Manatee Rd. , Tavares, Fl. 32778-4837. There is also a book called "History of Bureau County, Illinois, by H C BRADSBY, editor and published by Chicago World Publishing Company in 1885. It has a lot of families in it. I have never lived in Illinois. I know there are several ancestors who stayed there, but I don’t have the genealogy for them. One was Myrtle Lakin,(my grandfather’s sister). She married Raymond Hanes and they lived in St. Elmo, not far from Vandalia. I think they are buried in or near St. Elmo, but I cannot find out for sure. When Myrtle was really feeble, her son (Lloyd Biggs moved her to his location in Indiana, where I think she died. I think they took her back to St. Elmo for burial, but cannot verify it. The Lakin’s and the half brothers and sisters moved around moved around Illinois, Iowa,Kansas and Missouri and I think they knew each other back about four generations, but no one kept any family records, so hard to dig out now.
