Ben Franklin Searl in buggy
Submitted by Dorrie Simon My grandmother was Ben & Mary (Long) Searl's daughter Ada, one of the twins - my g-grandfather Ben Searl on his farm in section 10, Selby township. It's kind of a great photo of "Americana" if you ask me. I particularly like the little white dog who is sitting in the front watching him. That little white dog appears in several family photos, and seemed to have no fear of the horses. I do have quite a few photos of people in his bio, including a photo of Ben & Mary (Long) Searl with ALL his children (and one with all the grandchildren) at their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
