NELLIE  (Schieferdecker)  OSBORNE

Tampico: - Mrs. Nellie Osborne, 89, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, formerly of Tampico, died Wednesday evening in the nursing home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Tampico Baptist Church, with Rev. Peter Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.  A memorial has been established to the Tampico Baptist Church.

Nellie Osborne was born Nov. 5, 1898 in Quincy, the daughter of Charles and Frances Balfour Schieferdecker. She married Elijah Osborne on Feb. 11, 1919 in Quincy. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1975.  She was a long-time member of Tampico Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Eileen) Davis Nielsen, Morrison and Mrs. Margaret Graham, Fort Wayne, Ind.; one son, Harold E. Osborne, Golden; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice White, Palmyra, Mo.; and Mrs. Mary Moore, Philadelphia, Mo.  She was preceded by one son, and three brothers.
