H. L. Glassburn Rites

Services for Harold L. Glassburn were held Thursday morning at St. Mary's church with Rev. Bonnike, Sterling, officiating.

Burial was in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery with LeRoy Kelly, Clayton Smith, Russell Olson, R. M. Hockman, Archie Yarde Jr. and Kermit Branson serving as casket bearers. 

Prayers at the Schmitt chapel preceding the mass were led by Mrs. Mayme Cooney.

The rosary was recited at the chapel Wednesday evening, led by Rev. Bonnike.

Relatives from a distance attending the services were Mrs. A. G. Phillips, Wichita, Kans.; A. B. Cash, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Rhea Richardson, Chicago; Mrs. Grace Rambow and Mrs. Lissie Hennessey, Elgin.

Harold L. Glassburn, son of Fred and Nellie Aldrich Glassburn, was born in Tampico, July 6, 1890, and passed away in the Dixon Public hospital Tuesday morning, Sept. 25, at the age of 72. 

He was employed as a government patrolman until he retired. He was a member of St. Mary's church, Tampico, and was a World War I veteran. 

He married Madia Cash at Polo, July 13, 1922. She and one sister, Mrs. A. M. (Mary Ellyn) Gholson, three nephews, and a niece survive him. 

His parents, his step-father, Dr. H. A. Terry and two brothers, Wayne & John, preceded him in death.
