FARMS CHANGE HANDS

George Baker south of town has purchased Coon Berges' farm five miles north west of Tampico the consideration being $115 per acre - a top notch price for the locality. Mr. Baker bough the farm as an investment. He will remain on his farm and rent the recently acquiredone. Coon Berge will probably tenant it.

Bert Smith's farm north west of town was sold this week to Rheinhart Pletsch of Spring Valley. The consideration was $113 per acre. Both of the above deals were made by Antoine Engel who is a hustler when it comes to selling land.

Herman and Fred Broer have purchased Ed Emmon's farm of 160 acres south west of town the consideration being $105. If arrangements can be made with the tenant, Milton Foy, the purchasers will occupy the farm March 1.
