March 21, 1891
John S. KIMBALL and family went to Prophetstown last week Wednesday to attend the celebration of the golden anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. JONES.

August 6, 1892
Last Sunday the following persons were received into full membership of the M.E. church: Jennie M. HOGEBOOM, Neva C. JONES, Mary E. LANE, Nellie M. LaRUE, Ida L. SMITH, Gertie E. MACOMBER, and from the Christian church, Melora C. PIERCE and Daisy HOGEBOOM.

June 6, 1896
Frank L. PITNEY and Miss Neva JONES and Ford SMITH and Miss Ida SMITH took in the commencement exercises of the Prophetstown school last Wednesday evening. Mr. PITNEY tells us that the exercises were good and there were ten graduates.

October 24, 1896
At the rag bee held at the home of Mrs. Wallace McKENZIE last week Friday there were present the following ladies: Mrs. Chas. BROWN, Mrs. Geo. BERGE, Mrs. Ray McKENZIE, Mrs. Crosby McKENZIE, Mrs. Aaron POPE, Mrs. M.G. LOVE, Mrs. Mary HOWLETT, Mrs. Sadie KIMBALL, Miss Neva JONES and Miss Cap. MAXFIELD. The hostess spread a fine dinner at the noon hour which was much enjoyed by the toilers who sped [sic] the needle with much skill and good results.
