Mrs. GLASSBURN Low Mrs. J.W. GLASSBURN, wife of the founder of Tampico, and a mother of A.T. GLASSBURN, cashier and owner of the Tampico bank, is very sick. She was taken with a severe vomiting spell last week Friday morning [Friday September 15, 1905] about four o'clock. This lasted a short time and xxx xxx xxy another at 7:30 o'clock xxx xxx immediately summoned xxx xx who found here quite low and unable to talk. A.T. GLASSBURN was summoned from the bank and Miss Mary GLASSBURN from W.H. HARRISON's residence. She was in a comalike condition until Sunday afternoon about 2 o'clock when she ralled and generally speaking she has been conscious and, had her mind, being able to converse some. Mrs. S.B. HOVEY, a daughter, of Independence, Iowa, and husband, Mrs. Glen REEVE, another daughter, of Denver and Samuel JOHNSON [JOHNSTON] of Houghton, South Dakota, a brother, were all summoned by telegram. Mr. HOVEY, arrived here Sunday, Mrs. REEVE Monday and Mr. JOHNSON Tuesday. It was thought by the physician in attendance that she burst a blood vessel in her chest or head while vomiting. This probably caused a clot of blood to form at some point. The danger from this is over now but her system is weak from shock. A trained nurse from Chicago was summoned here by telegram last Friday and has charge of the case. The many, many friends of the aged lady who is respected, loved and cherished by the entire community wish and hope with the family that she may be rested again to her former health.
